We’re welcoming Spring here in the northern hemisphere. And to those readers in the south, happy Fall. I’m taking care of a sick dog so I am keeping the focus on curation this week. I encourage you to conjure the time to explore some of these links.
I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Spring than with Rachel Ignotovsky’s new book, What’s Inside a Flower? and Other Questions about Science & Nature. I wrote about Rachel’s book The Wondrous Workings of Planet Earth—Understanding our World and its Ecosystems here. You can see some samples of illustrations from the new flower book on her website. Rachel is definitely my favorite science author/illustrator for kids.

“Anyone who doubts the centrality of slavery, segregation and racism to the American story—from 1619 through today and for generations to come—isn’t paying attention.” —William Freivogel, The 1857 Project
